CLIENT: ANDREW GONZALES

taylor sporting goods

Andrew Gonzales approached me to create a new logo for the business he and his wife planned to acquire, Taylor Sporting Goods—a fixture in the local community of Taylor, TX since 1982— they plan on opening in Spring/Summer 2022. The main focus of the sporting goods store, besides providing sports gear for soccer, basketball, football, baseball, and tennis, will be to produce and provide embroidered swag and uniforms for the local middle & high school and amateur sports teams. The logo was designed with the intent to represent their company’s renewed mission, attract their target audience, create brand recognition, and attract new clients as well as help maintain the business's current clientele.

We collaborated on creating a logo that married the classic shapes of a baseball home plate and the balls of the sports that the store plans on servicing.  Rounded, clean lines and the geometric shapes of the sports gear inspired by mainstream sporting goods stores (i.e. Dick's) and retro baseball patches and enamel pins influenced the overall design.

Enthused by the final product, the Gonzales' happily reported that feedback regarding their company’s logo has been extremely positive.
